getting screwy in saint louie

court done and the justice system paid, we were on our way. first we took IL-40, a farm road, really, imagining a life so different, a knowledge of the earth far deeper and far less broad, an entire community of 600 instead of 6 million...

then the kids worked on getting alone time in the tiny backseat.





finally, we arrived. (the arch looked much smaller in person to me.)





then we made our way to the city museum. holy moly!








G, "i discovered i don't have problems anymore with heights. small spaces, on the other hand..." (after the girls led him through a tiny mesh tube several stories up, and he tried to do a flip turn so he wouldn't land on his head coming out.)











after a 10-story cave/stair climb and slide back down, we left. S, "i want to stay for 3 days, not 3 hours!!" (yes, pumpkin, but you are totally overstimulated already!)
